Garden/campus beautification projects (garden clean-up, planting, seasonal decorations, etc.), personal Memoirs for residents/families, special activities projects – holiday events, special outings, etc., clean toys for the family visit rooms, special painting project, or host a special occasion party.
Volunteers are needed to help package and serve seniors at one of the congregate sites located in the 34 communities of western Wayne County or in the Downriver.
Assist residents to and from in-house therapy, activities, meals, etc.
Performs general yard maintenance. Requires general knowledge in yard maintenance and overall operational knowledge of equipment to perform duties. Good communication a must.
We have flexible hours and appreciate part-time helpers who can contribute as few as 3 HOURS PER WEEK. Just want to help occasionally? We need you. Volunteers also help deliver to the homebound seniors in these areas. Volunteers deliver meals one day a week, and are reimbursed each month for their route mileage.
Our volunteers serve meals, assist with events, and keep our Friends of the Homeless emergency shelter fresh and clean.
