Join a buildOn Trek and travel to one of our partner countries to build a school alongside community members. By mobilizing communities in some of the world’s economically poorest countries, we can give children and adults access to a quality education often for the very first time, and build opportunities that will last for generations…

We have volunteer opportunities for every skill level, ranging from getting out on the ground and pulling fence, picking up trash, naturalizing old roads, planting seedlings, monitoring wilderness, and yanking invasive plants.

Volunteer to represent Friends of Nevada Wilderness at outreach events in your community, or volunteer to help us around the office!

This night is a fantastic opportunity for families to bond, youth to meet each other, and future Mechanics in Training to get their feet wet. Collect, sort, and identify benthic macroinvertebrates (bottom-dwelling bugs). Identify some bugs in the lab. Ongoing in Spring and fall. Monitoring one site usually takes 2-4 hours. Lab work is flexible.

Paddle along with RCA’s River Stewards to help with cleanup and outreach efforts or adopt a section of the river. Visually inspect the river, remove trash, record wildlife sightings, and share information with river users.
