Take students on a journey of exploration by facilitating fun, hands-on, and interactive educational experiences at the brand new Petersen Automotive Museum. Partner with fellow volunteer educators to lead gallery talks, science and engineering demos, arts and crafts activities, and so much more for K-12 students visiting on a field trip.
We offer a variety of opportunities for volunteers that benefit the animals and enable you to share your area of expertise. From clerical positions (e.g. grant writing and fundraising) to manual labor (e.g. construction and facility maintenance), we could use your help!
Help by answering phones, filing, customer service, data entry, and various administrative tasks.
Socialize, train and enrich the lives of the cats in our care throughout the day. This may include playing or relaxing with them, cleaning and feeding. Volunteers must attend a cat care and handling training. If you are between the ages of 12 to 17, you can volunteer with an adult.
Help with administrative tasks, animal handling, prep work, cleaning, and other various tasks. Prerequisites: vary by role and location.
Cut treats, prepare lesson plans, assist with workshops, give tours, teach lessons about compassion, data entry, etc. Prerequisites: Level 2 Class, with various specialized training from our Violence Prevention & Humane Education staff.
