Volunteers can help with customer assistance, sorting and organizing of merchandise, and other special projects as needed.

A Waste Wizard is an ambassador of Recycle Ann Arbor that informs their communities about waste reduction and local repair, reuse, recycling, composting, and safe disposal outlets. Waste Wizards may assist with online outreach (social media, emails), event outreach (community festivals, presentations), door-to-door education, and neighbor recruitment.

Mentoring a Hazel Park student through the transition out of high school and into postsecondary education.

‘- Perform general maintenance duties as needed in and around the facilities (i.e. indoor and outdoor painting, auto maintenance, furniture repair, landscape work, etc.) – Assist in transporting vehicles for routine maintenance appointments

‘- Provide support to the Advancement Department for event preparation. – Project assistance during peak periods – Volunteering at Wedgwood events

The BHC is looking for volunteers to become water quality monitors, help with rain garden planting/maintenance and river & pond clean ups.

The Volunteers-In-Parks (VIP) program is a highly respected program of the National Park Service and is administered locally by the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor. The VIP program aims to create a mutually-rewarding experience for the volunteer and the National Park Service by matching individual interests with the many different venues, groups, and events.

We are currently looking for volunteers to deliver food to our most vulnerable clients. Volunteers will be assigned a route of deliveries and will pick up food boxes from Lighthouse’s warehouse in Waterford. Once the food is picked up, the volunteer will deliver to the client’s doorstep to maintain no contact.
