Tuesday and Thursday assistance is needed to clean & mop bathrooms; clean, vacuum and dust rooms; occasionally wash windows.
Greet students as they enter The Rock, direct them to hang up coats and back packs, and sign in. Greeters are also needed for other community programming throughout the year.
Our building is over 7,000 square feet and accommodates thousands of program interactions each month; we need handy people to assist with light to moderate repairs from time to time.
You will have flexibility as a tutor while scheduling virtual sessions with scholars and tutoring your favorite subjects if you want!
filling out paperwork, organize office space, make phone calls, greet people that come into our office, or research.
We need our youth to have someone to listen to, interact with and take interest in them. Relationships grow as volunteers are consistently available to play games, get students involved in ROCK activities, and have supportive friendly conversations with them.
Mentoring a scholar means chatting or video chatting with them using our dedicated scholar chat software, meeting up with them for a socially distanced activity, checking up on how they’re feeling or how their homework is coming along, and so much more.
There are many ways to volunteer, and we are happy to talk with you about how you can help! We welcome volunteers regularly as there are a variety of tasks at the farm involving many different skill sets.
The Volunteer Team has a wide spectrum of interests: from aircraft maintenance, setting up & maintaining museum displays, maintaining the grounds and gardens, maintaining the display artifacts collection, to weekend volunteering as a museum and/or gift shop docent. We are desperately in need of docents for our upcoming ‘open season’.
