We also have a role for volunteers behind the scenes. With tens of thousands of artifacts in our collection, the Museum is constantly inventorying and cataloging these historical treasures. We are also always looking for those who like to write, or are handy with a hammer.
Volunteers work in areas from researching genealogy, cataloging artifacts and library materials, to assisting with membership and mailings. They also work in Spring and Third, the Museum Store, creating displays and greeting patrons. Public relations and marketing volunteer help with: graphic design, establishing contacts, media/advertising, conducing community presentations, securing media support, helping identify partnering opportunities, and delivering fliers to area schools.
Volunteering at events and fundraisers.
Assist in front office duties Artistic help (photos, videos, window displays).
Maintenance around the building. Laundry and general housekeeping. Groundskeeping and gardening.
Volunteers are instrumental in sewing costumes, as well as putting finishing touches on projects. Time requirements vary with each show, but hours are flexible with personal schedules.
Feeding cats and providing companionship and care. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent.
Volunteers are regularly needed to assist with special events, such as Back Stage Passes, cast parties and technical lunches.
Volunteers help build, repair, paint, and tear down sets Daytime and night hours are available.
