When you volunteer at Five Rivers MetroParks, you provide an important public service: You educate and engage park visitors in the protection and stewardship of the natural and cultural heritage of the Miami Valley. More important, you share your passion for nature with future generations.
As a volunteer you can assist with the basic upkeeping of our animals fur such as brushing.
Make our animals feel at home by providing love and comfort to them.
We need our publicity and certain other documents translated into Spanish.
These are the sessions at which applicants sign up for an ID card, present the required documents, get their photo taken, etc.
Friends of the Library. . . Lend community support to the library and its programs, Promote the library in the community, Support the Children’s Summer Reading Program, Organize the Annual Book Sales, Raise funds for special programs, Help the library with special needs
Anyone who wants to help make a difference can be a volunteer. You don’t have to love being outdoors or have prior experience. The Park District offers training and a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit your interests and skill set.
Our Youth Center Program operates Monday-Friday from 3:00pm-7:00pm for students in grades 6-12. There are opportunities to volunteer during program hours. Volunteers can assist with tutoring and/or daily programming.
Year long service positions are for individuals who are able to multi-task and work on multiple projects at the same time in the following areas: accountability & assessment, communication & community engagement, health & parent education, resource development, volunteer engagement, or youth development.
Our Miracle Makers Afterschool Program operates Monday-Friday from 2:00pm-5:00pm for students in grades K-6. The program runs at Ruskin Elementary School and there are opportunities to volunteer during program hours.
