We depend on volunteers to help fulfill our mission through board service, help with landscaping at the site, fundraising, planning, and advocacy. Your support helps us keep expenses low so that our funds can go to the costs of building new affordable housing for those with developmental disabilities.

Do you love organization? Do you like to write thank you letters and help work with schedules? If so this would be the perfect volunteer position for you.

At LifeWorks we hold lots of fun events for our youth and our community. If you like to party plan or organize events, this is for you! You will be doing everything from decorating and setting up to helping run games and activities.

These volunteers accompany residents and staff into the community and help to enrich the experience for individuals. A volunteer might help someone without sight to experience an event or locale by describing the visuals to him/her. These volunteers usually commit to a couple of hours either once or twice per month.

Are you more of a hands on person, not afraid to get dirty? LifeWorks transitional homes are always in need of a little sprucing up. Fresh paint, some fresh flowers out front, new lighting and carpet are some of the jobs we are looking to find hands on volunteers for!

A lot of our youth coming into LifeWorks have not yet had the opportunity to take the driver’s education course to obtain their driving license. Therefore having transportation available to them for work, appointments and volunteering is very important.
