Assist the Food Pantry Coordinator to pick up food orders from the Greater Boston Food Bank, and unload that food at EPH. This involves heavy lifting and some physical labor. Volunteers help stock our food pantry to prepare for distribution.

Help the Food Pantry Coordinator distribute food to clients. This involves some heavy lifting. Volunteers will distribute pre-made bags of pantry staples to clients along with the clients’ choice of protein and dairy products. Clients are no longer allowed inside the EPH facility to limit the number of persons in the pantry at one time.

Members develop and lead culturally inclusive programming, events, and volunteer opportunities that provide broad social and environmental benefits to traditionally underrepresented beneficiaries.

Members organize volunteers to help build and manage community farms and gardens so more people can grow and access healthy food. Members train and educate beginning gardeners and farmers to use organic growing practices, plan growing systems, improve soils, and remove invasive species.
