Food Rescue heroes help reduce food waste by acting like an “uber” for potentially wasted food. We have tons of partners who have perfectly good food that often goes to waste; and while they do not want to throw it out, transportation is an issue. There are many outstanding private attorneys that donate their time and talents freely but more are required to meet the need. The individuals that we assist cannot afford to retain private counsel and would otherwise proceed without counsel or would be denied access to the court system altogether.
Sometimes the needs fulfilled by our volunteers are very practical: providing respite to a caregiver, delivering supplies, making coffee, writing letters or baking cookies.
