One of our most active and vital volunteer organizations is the Friends of Seven Ponds, also known as “The Stingers.” If you would like to help out with the Bake Sales, Book Sale, Rummage Sale, Resale Shoppe, and the Holiday Auction, The Stingers would love to have you.

Assist at the Michigan Philharmonic Youth Orchestra Concerts, or MPYO music library or usher at our 4th grade children’s concerts.

Distribute program books at orchestra concerts and assist with general seating.

Assist with poster and brochure distribution around town, light office work and other special projects, group ticket sales for concerts.

Volunteers will assist our Robin’s Nest Coordinator by participating with youth in monthly “Best Day” events. These events allow youth to experience positive, caring adult interaction, while engaged in fun, family-oriented activities. Group facilitators participate as active listeners, discussion leaders, and support persons in our bereavement support groups. There is no formal counseling or therapy as part of these groups. Michael’s Place is continually in need of assistance with general office tasks such as computer data entry, updating files and records, preparing mailings, organizing program materials, soliciting meal donations, etc.

In the field, volunteers may build trails, work on restoration projects, help control invasive species of plants, and encourage native ones.
