Our after-school and teen programs need volunteers to help students (5-18 years old) with homework, reading activities, and enrichment projects. Volunteers should be at least high school age, but we will consider mature middle school students.
Docents occasionally staff the museum for 2 hours on Sunday afternoon with another docent. They give tours, answer questions, and sell shop items.

Seniors need opportunities to socialize and maintain connections. Senior luncheons at community dining sites are a great way to stay active while enjoying a nutritious and delicious meal. At each dining site, a dedicated staff and team of friendly volunteers checks-in guests, serves food, and ensures a welcoming environment.
Springwell Shopping Assistants are volunteers who can either provide an escort to the supermarket for help shopping, or who can do the shopping themselves. Office Assistants help office staff with telephone and clerical duties.
Friendly Visitor volunteers are matched with a senior and visit on a regular basis, weekly or every other week for one to two hours. They can go for walks, fix a light snack, run brief errands, and read or help write letters.
We always welcome help with photography, writing, general office and event assistance, research projects and natural materials gathering/sourcing.
Collections assistants work on the PastPerfect museum software to catalog new items coming into the museum.
