Our donation-driven food pantry provides bags of non-perishable food and nutrition handouts* to select elementary schools in Carson, Compton, Long Beach, San Pedro, Torrance and Wilmington every week. Volunteers assemble and deliver bags of food filled with items to make 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners to the local schools on Fridays.

Set up and breakdown tables, cages, etc. at one of our adoption venues. Help to match pets with potential families. Educate the public on pet overpopulation and proper pet care. Interact with the animals, including feeding and cleaning when required. This is a weekend position. Hours vary by location. Training is on-the-job, and ongoing.

Teen Volunteers help out with family programs like Creation Station, summer camps, and Mud Mania.

We are looking for coaches to do three separate 4 week soccer camps that teach the basics, then graudate to more intermediate skills and finish off with an advanced course. All in all you would be looking at a three-month commitment of once-a-week courses.

The Conservancy holds nature walks on the second Saturday of every month and two Saturdays a month at George F Canyon, and additional leaders are needed for these walks. Walk Program Leader training hikes take place about a week before each scheduled public walk to help train and orient docents to the site.
