With springtime comes new growth! We welcome adult volunteers back onto the farm to help us seed trays in our greenhouse early in the spring. Later in the year we welcome all ages to help us in the farm fields! Groups should not be larger than five people.

You tell us! We’re always looking for special skills, whether that means tax preparation, family financial management, organizational or computer skills, food preparation/presentation, yard work, carpentry, plumbing, etc. Let us know about your special strengths. Hospice volunteers can do many things, including: provide companionship through reading, playing games, sharing music, and other interests; support patients and family members through conversation or simply being present; offer respite for caregivers allowing them the chance to rest, attend to their own medical appointments or otherwise have a much needed break; run errands or…

We offer a range of volunteer opportunities such as: working directly at one of our housing/residential programs, gardening and helping out at ReVision Urban Farm, serving meals or teaching classes at the Boston Living Center, participating in one of our fundraising and special events, helping with administrative tasks, and assisting with graphic design needs.

Community Ambassadors promote WGBH membership to the public at events held in our Brighton studios and out in the community. Volunteering for this position lets you participate in community events as a representative of WGBH, meeting new people while sharing your passion for public media.

Docents provide behind-the-scenes tours that include a visit to WGBH’s TV and radio production facilities, performance spaces, and more. Our Brighton studios provide the perfect venue to welcome the public for screenings, live music, and other events that amplify the impact of public media. Read more about our studio tour program.

The Development Office at WGBH is open year-round, and we always appreciate assistance with a variety of administrative tasks. These include helping with mailing projects, data entry, writing and editing scripts for the annual WGBH Auction, photocopying, making phone calls, organizing, and filing.

We are always looking for people to join our board of directors and/or board committees (Fundraising, Finance, Program, Real Estate) – to help us be a strong and growing organization.
