ABCD’s Housing and Homelessness Prevention Department works with clients to give them the assistance and skills they need to maintain their households or find new housing that is safe and affordable. The Housing Intern will assist the Housing Counselor to provide direct support to participants in search of permanent housing.

DVs help in many of the same ways as RVs. They are trained by our staff on-site to help with mucking and gutting, mold sanitation, insulation and drywall insulation, carpentry, painting, and more. DVs live nearby the sites and arrange their own accommodation, transportation, and food for the duration of their volunteer experience.

We are currently recruiting energetic and outgoing volunteers to join our Walk Planning Committees! Each of our 12 Walk To End Alzheimer’s events has a Planning Committee that meets monthly, year-round to work on areas such as community outreach, corporate engagement, logistics and more!

The Alzheimer’s Association is looking for volunteers who can either translate presentations for staff or be trained to give presentations themselves. Presentations cover basic information about Alzheimer’s disease, as well as the programs and services that the Alzheimer’s Association provides.
