A.S.K. provides lifelong refuge, health care, rehabilitation, enrichment and love to previously neglected chained dogs on 100 rural acres and through foster homes. If you don’t have a dog, or have the ability to keep your family companions separate, you may be able to help us through fostering!

There are many ways for individuals of all ages to volunteer time and talent, including as a volunteer for one-time events such as community events or work days, in the woods as a Mentor-in-Training, on one of our Board Committees or as a Board Member.

Our foster program allows our highly adoptable cats and dogs to be housed for longer periods than practical within the shelter while they await forever homes. We are looking for people who can provide a positive experience for the pet and are willing to participate in their development and adoption. We cover all medical expenses…

We have several events throughout the year including Art Hops, Hot Glass Cold Beer, and the annual Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff. Greeters, sales, helping with refreshments… our volunteers contribute to the success of our events!
