Volunteers are needed to help package and serve seniors at one of the congregate sites located in the 34 communities of western Wayne County or in the Downriver.
Performs general yard maintenance. Requires general knowledge in yard maintenance and overall operational knowledge of equipment to perform duties. Good communication a must.
Volunteers have opportunities to help with administrative support that includes: filing, stuffing envelopes, organizing, cleaning, putting away donations, and assisting in the Resource Center.
Volunteers have opportunities to help with Organizing a Workshop that includes: arts & crafts with adults or kids, resume building, and yoga.
We have flexible hours and appreciate part-time helpers who can contribute as few as 3 HOURS PER WEEK. Just want to help occasionally? We need you. All positions also have substitute positions available for occasional volunteering. If you care about others and have a little time to share, we will provide meaningful ways for you…
Volunteers also help deliver to the homebound seniors in these areas. Volunteers deliver meals one day a week, and are reimbursed each month for their route mileage.
Volunteer to assist during our class sessions. You may also earn volunteer hours for your community service requirement. Thank you we really appreciate the help!
The Benefits Counseling Program trains volunteers to help homeowners and renters age 60 and older, or persons with disabilities, find resources to help them stay in their homes for as long as they choose. Benefits Counselors also help people apply for benefits that help them save money, like Fuel Assistance or Food Stamps.
Volunteer drivers are needed immediately to assist clients with transportation to/from medical appointments, hairdresser/barber, pharmacy, shopping and more. Volunteers can receive mileage reimbursement of $.54/mile to help offset the cost of using your own vehicle. A clean driving record and CORI background check required.
