The shelter has several acres of grounds and buildings. There is always something that needs to be done – gardening, minor building repairs, painting, cleaning up, etc. Your “handy” skills are always needed somewhere at Delta Animal Shelter!
Are you willing and able to open your heart and home to temporarily care for the needs of puppies, kittens, cats, dogs or other critters? Foster care is a vital part of the shelter’s ability to care for animals who need just a bit more time or special attention before they are ready to go…
Would you like to advocate on our behalf to help spread the word and help generate interest and engagement?
Other opportunities include serving the community at offsite events, distributing food through our pet pantry, fundraising committee that plans our fundraiser events and facility committee that helps oversee building maintenance and repairs. There are a variety of ways you can put your skills to use and support organization.
We are always looking for volunteers to help out at adoption events, fundraisers and at our Cat Condos! Contact us with how you can help us out.
Volunteers are critical in assisting us with: animal enrichment, cleaning, meet & greets in the community (adoption fairs), hosting successful fundraising events, transporting animals to medical appointments, and helping in our Rescued Treasures Resale Shop. Volunteers must be 18+ or with a legal guardian.
Come and join our wonderful team here at the Ann Arbor Film Festival! Volunteers assist with event support, screenings, festival support, volunteer photography, committee work, and more.
Help with grounds keeping to keep our farm looking beautiful and welcoming.
Participate in Special Events such as Spring Break Bash, Fall Fun on the Farm, Summer ice cream social and Christmas through Lowell. We also need people willing to attend community marketing events.
We are so thankful you would like to provide a home to one of our animals temporarily while they wait for their forever home! We cover all costs for medical, food and toys while a foster is in your home; in exchange, we ask that you provide them a loving committed environment!
