reDiscover Center regularly get donations of discarded household, commercial, and industrial materials that have the potential to have a second life as “rediscovered” material for art and education. Those donations need to be sorted, cleaned, photographed, and shelved.
A short term, occasional opportunity includes helping out our activities booth at local Farmers Markets and Festivals.
On most Fridays we take the scholars off-site between for fun and engaging field trips! We are always grateful to have extra chaperones at our field trips, as it allows our scholars more freedom to explore in smaller groups! Time commitment is a Friday during the summer.
Update our Reintegration Resource Directory. Help community members returning from incarceration rejoin the community by ensuring that our directory of resources is current and complete.
Help us develop the Real Change Movement. Contribute to website content regarding homelessness and homeless solutions. Work with local hosts and sponsors to place new donation meters, and work with other communities that want to join the movement.
We are looking for creative, passionate, empathetic individuals to partner with the k9 staff in mentoring, educating and inspiring our students. k9 connection’s year-around programs in continuation high schools offer teens the opportunity to break through learning and life barriers by training and bonding with homeless dogs.
