We are currently seeking volunteers to support a few projects requiring specific skills and expertise. Skills we are looking for include photography, videography, web design, grant writing, engineering and carpentry for small scale urban farm projects, mural creation and other artists, and farm/garden management.
Groundwork Somerville host monthly open volunteer days (April through November) at our urban agriculture sites, as well as local parks and green spaces. No pre-registration is necessary. Events are drop in, and open to all.
Family advocate volunteers give support and guidance to newly-selected Habitat partner families from the time they are selected through to homeownership. Family Advocate Training is provided, and Advocates are supported by members of the Family Support Team who are all current or former advocates themselves.

Adults with clean driving records willing to drive a YES vehicle to and from mountain destinations in NH, VT, ME, and MA, act as the YES point person during medical emergencies and transport youth and adults as needed.
