Children need supplies for school: notebooks, pencils, backpacks and book bags, even winter coats. Urban Edge takes donations to purchase these supplies, or collects the supplies from generous local businesses. Volunteers secure donations, direct and sign in recipients, gather and distribute supplies, set up and clean up.
Help implement a comprehensive woodlands management program and promote a healthier forest through activities ranging from removing invasive plant species to conditioning forest soil.

TASC drivers choose when they’ll be available. Once a week, one or two times a month or once in a blue moon. Drivers must be twenty five or older with a valid drivers license, a favorable driving record and an insured, registered and inspected vehicle.

The Salvation Army offers some type of food pantry at nearly all of its statewide locations, which offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, including: food bank driver, meals on wheels, feeding program assistant, and food pantry stocker.
Volunteers work in the Rose Garden deadheading and pruning roses and weeding the rose beds and borders. Training and tools provided. This opportunity is seasonal.
Volunteers assisting directly with the therapy program are trained to side walk, lead, and assist before, during, and after riding sessions. Experience with horses is not required.
