The Food Project’s Corporate Serve & Grow Program offers companies a service-learning opportunity to grow food for hunger relief organizations and local distribution. Bring your employees to one of our farms for a morning of positive, energizing work and learning at The Food Project. We offer volunteer opportunities in the Spring and Fall.

If you are looking to give back to your community or mentor someone attempting to become self-sufficient, then TFS has a variety of ways you can help; such as: personal shoppers for clients, inventory management, and workshop facilitation.

Volunteers are needed for a number of YMCA programs including Youth Sports, Aquatics, Fitness Center, Preschool and School Age Child Care, Computer Learning Center and special event helpers.

Our Nutrition Department delivers over 1,200 nutritious meals to homebound elders Monday-Friday. Dedicated volunteers package meals at local meal sites, and other volunteers deliver them to elders in the community.

Volunteers support a variety of daily activities including dissemination of information, clerical help, collecting, collating, and updating data. Good communication, organizational, and computer skills are needed. Multi-lingual skills a plus. The time commitment is flexible during normal business hours Monday-Friday.

During the school year, volunteer as a tutor, group helper, or reading buddy. Task include: helping serve meals , clean up, sanitizing equipment & surfaces, packaging meals, plus decorating the locations, working on holiday favors, helping with reservations, and more. Volunteerism can be done daily, once a week, only on specials.

We often call on our dedicated volunteers to represent Komen New England at health fairs, community events and corporations. We provide the educational materials, a quiz wheel, giveaways, and signage — we need you to bring your enthusiasm, knowledge and outgoing personality! Volunteers are needed throughout our service area. Training will be provided.
