If you are interested in sharing your breast health story and promoting the pillars of Komen, our speakers bureau may be a great fit! We often call on volunteers to share their story and educate those in our community on the importance of breast health.

Komen New England has an ongoing need for admin support in our Farmington, CT and Newton, MA offices. Duties include answering phones, assisting with mailings, filing, data entry and other general clerical duties. Basic computer, phone and office equipment skills required. Good customer service is imperative.

We host our signature Race for the Cure events annually to raise funds and awareness for the local fight against breast cancer, celebrate breast cancer survivors and thrivers and honor those who have lost their battle with the disease. We welcome any and all fun-loving, enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable individuals who are willing to contribute…

If you are looking to develop leadership skills in your employees, we have a number of skill based volunteer opportunities in team building, project management and business communications. Some examples include: organizing clothing drives, fundraising events, inventory management, and mentoring.

Sort meat, produce, pastries, and bread donations from Hannaford four mornings a week and on Thursday afternoons. Stockers are also able to sort and shelve nonperishable food items from food drives and donations. Stockers should be physically flexible and able to lift 25 pounds.

Volunteers come on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays during the evening and Wednesdays and Fridays in the afternoon. We also have a Seniors Pantry the fourth Thursday of the month in the morning.

Volunteers provide clerical or office support for the YMCA at the Welcome Desk or in a Department office. Assist the staff in planning and implementing Special Events and Fundraisers at the Y.

Provide contacts and ideas for funding sources, help organize and publicize events, or make an event of your own. This can be a one-time event or an event that takes place on a regular basis – your idea in action!

Share a motivational story about your life or career path or share about your expertise in a particular field with high school students. This could be something you’ve done research on, teach, or specialize in.
