MAPS seeks individuals, preferably bilingual in Portuguese/English, to help with community outreach and education, ESOL instruction, senior activities, fundraising, publicity, clerical work and many other areas of service provision.

The Advocacy Team conducts grassroots organizing, provides public education, and advocates for housing and homelessness issues. Throughout the year, the Coalition offers trainings and meetings to keep advocates up-to-date on important advocacy issues.

The Development Team organizes annual fundraisers to support the Coalition’s programs and services. We also engage in smaller fundraiser efforts, such as selling holiday cakes and cookies and holding gift wrap booths. Volunteers can choose opportunities that fit with their interests and availability.

Volunteer around a special occasion or time of year. Internships are available to students interested in the education/nonprofit sectors.

MSPCC offers a wide variety of corporate volunteer opportunities throughout the year including toy, clothing, backpack, school supplies, baby gear, toiletries and food drives; Thanksgiving and Holiday drives; no-sew blanket making; care packages and “birthdays in a box”; program site clean up and room makeovers; toy organization and assembly.

Mill City Grows holds team-building volunteer sessions with organizations from school and church groups to local businesses and corporate groups. We welcome teams of 5-15 participants.

MHSA is seeking volunteers to support our mission in a variety of ways, including: assisting callers who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in accessing housing and shelter resources.
