In the office, at the shelter, or during special events, HAWC can use all the hands it can get! HAWC offers many opportunities for workplace activism, but if you want your group to get involved in other ways, let us know!

Assist individuals seeking protective orders in Salem and Lynn District courts, as well as Essex County Family and Probate. SAFEPLAN volunteers must also attend a four-day training in Lawrence through the Massachusetts Office of Victim Assistance.

Opportunities include: Fundraising Event Coordinators, Fundraising Event Staff, Awareness Event Coordinators, Awareness Event Coordinators, and Publicity & Advertising.

Coordinate the annual cookie sale at the troop level. Set up cookie booths, manage inventory and money, and then watch the girls light up when they earn the rewards for being the best cookie sellers ever!

The Girls on the Run 5K would not be possible without the help of amazing volunteers who believe in our mission and show up to support our girls. Whatever your special skills and talents, we have a role for everyone.

Are you part of a group that enjoys giving back to the community? Girls on the Run would love your support and can create a volunteer opportunity to fit your group.

We welcome everyone from avid gardeners to corporate teams and school groups to help with a variety of tasks like building or maintaining a community garden, teaching gardening basics to new gardeners, helping with garden-to-table food demonstrations, leading gardening or healthy eating workshops, assisting with our youth programs, and more!

Help us step up our events to the next level. Work with staff on several existing and new events to help raise awareness of our mission and funding for our programs.
