Truckee Community Christmas is also looking for help with the food drive! Volunteers will help sort and package food for families in our community.

After collecting toys the sorting and packing of gifts will take place at the TTUSD SELS gymnasium on Donner Pass Rd. We hope you can help with this effort!

Outside of trail maintenance volunteers can also help with events and administrative work to support our mission.

All volunteers provide direct support for visitor services through the Tallac Museum Information Desk, serving as a greeter, host, or through administrative support.

Welcome visitors and present the interpretative stories of the Pope and Baldwin Estates, Houses,Out Buildings and Gardens through tours, talks, and other interactions. Work alongside and support interpretative staff and volunteers.

Supports exhibit and demonstrations for 1920s traditional artistry such as pottery, caligraphy, basket weaving, rug hooking and various artist mediums – sketching, painting and children’s art projects.

Help us at the ticket table, pass out programs, monitor the green room when the Youth Chorus is performing – just a few of the things you could do!

Love people? This is the volunteer opportunity for you. Spend a day (12pm-6pm) at our (soon to be multiple) Story Galleries. Our Story Galleries are a combination of an art gallery, coffee shop and living room. Perfect for freelancers. Usually plenty of time (and comfy couches and all the coffee you can drink) to do…

Like the idea of giving away free stuff and promoting our upcoming events and community work? Help us spread the word as part of our street team. Then the night of the event you’ll help with set-up and outreach. This position earns you a free beer (age providing) the night of the event!
