Assist in getting the animals to where they need to go. Additional transport opportunities exist to pick up rescued animals from shelters and transport them to one of our veterinarians for examination.
Call or email the new family and may visit the animals in their new home to make sure the animal and family are happy and adjusting to being together.
Help with feeding, cleaning, care-taking of the animals. Volunteers must be able to work independently after training, must be dependable/reliable, and have a high level of engagement with our animals.
Help staff the table and answer people’s questions about NAMI and the services we offer.
Help with data entry, mailings, and the information and referral line.
Help provide resources and support to local immigrants and refugees that make them feel welcomed, loved and supported and offer programs to assist them with self sufficiency.
Help our staff with small group social outings for adults with developmental disabilities. These outings are 2-4 hours each in the community doing life! We attend sporting events, dinner and movie, go bowling, watch plays, volunteer, and many other activities. (You must be 21)
Pick up surplus food from our Food Donors (grocers, restaurants, etc.) and deliver it to La Soupe. Or, from La Soupe, deliver to our receiving agencies. Typically this will take an hour of your time.
Come to La Soupe and help in various ways – sorting, cleaning, storing produce, chopping and light food prep, or ladle soupes, smoothies, or applesauce into containers.
Assist with planning, planting, maintenance, and preparing hands-on learning opportunities for our children.
