Maintain the pantry including washing, folding and sorting clothing. Solicit gently used items. There is no client contact with this position.
Weekly groups with childcare are offered to program clients.
Resource guides in specific areas, such as financial literacy coaches, tutors, etc. Assistance with college applications and financial aid applications. Parenting education, either a one-time class or series. Life skills or enrichment classes that meet just once or a few times, such as cooking, yoga, music with babies.
Volunteers work in the library, at cultural events and in the administrative offices on a project basis.
Show support and caring by cooking a meal for our residents.
Volunteers help us with the following: Administrative Assistants, Fundraisers, Mentors, Special Events Community Outreach and Volunteer Speakers.
Accompany participants to court appointments (emotional support, transportation and/or assistance navigating court building)
Greet people, answer phones, assist staff with various activities
Various volunteer tasks will include receiving items from drop offs and sorting items.
Answer hotline calls and provide referrals, assist w/other shelter support as needed
