NHF Nevada has many volunteer opportunities available: Advisory Board of Directors, Fundraising Committee, Walk Team Captain, Camp Committee, Program Committee, Hispanic Program Committee, Event Photographer, Graphic Design, Event Day Volunteer, General Office Help.
Our needs include help with maintaining the grounds around our building at 1517 Bayliss St. Want some time in the fresh air? Maybe you’d enjoy helping in the Community Garden or maintaining the flower beds around the building. We are also looking for help with the grounds at the John Pratt Mosaic House.
Whether register guests at a gala, passing out t-shirts or set up silent auction items, you will meet great people and help our mission.
GRRSN will care for any dog that comes to us, regardless of age or health issues. Some dogs come to us very late in life, or with health issues that may be hard for an adoptive family to afford. To staff the information booth/table during requested shifts and provide accurate information about Child and Family Services. Volunteers will pass out agency information/parent packets and engage participants to utilize the information being provided (example: Health and Safety Fairs, Agency Fairs, and City/Community Events etc.).
Volunteer will assist with coordinating activities during the month of April – Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Positions begin in January and end in May. Events/activities include: Awareness Kick-off Day, Crime Victims Awareness Week, Denim Day Partners.
Volunteers are asked to represent Child and Family Services for fundraising events (Strick Out Sexual Assault Bowl-a-Thon and Denim Day). Assist with corporate sponsorship solicitation, action item acquisition and marketing. Volunteers are needed to assist with day of event duties (examples: set-up, registration, selling 50/50).
Volunteers help with the following: Check in clients for surgery, Give clients after surgery care instructions, Trap feral cats for surgery, Assist during fundraising events, Walk in parades, and Set up tables at animal events and fundraisers.
