When children and teens have the influence of a caring adult, they are more likely to avoid risky behaviors and to focus on academics. Today’s youth face a variety of challenges, and being matched with a Mentor can help them navigate these challenges and reach their potential.

At ASI, we rely on amazing volunteers around Indiana to help the organization stay strong and to make a difference in the lives of those affected by autism. We are always looking for volunteers to be part of our ASI Board of Directors, event volunteers and one-day volunteer needs.

There are many volunteer opportunities available and we would gladly discuss our volunteer program with you. Full training and mentorship is provided for our volunteers so you can best help the women who need you.

Greet visitors, answer questions regarding facilities, locations and special events. Have visitors sign the guest-book. Provide information regarding other points of interest in community. Occasionally, answer and route phone calls for entire facility. View security monitors. Supervised by the staff.

Help us help the Los Angeles Community! The Better Neighbor Project hosts several free pet food pantries across Los Angeles each week, and we need help packing bags of food to hand out at events!

Provide valuable office and clerical support. Duties include filing, word processing, mailings, distribution of printed materials, research and data input.

Prior to the tour, review Education Director’s summary of Ohio Academic Content Standards & Benchmarks for specific grade level indicators. Welcome students, teachers, and chaperones.
