Are you good at gardening? If so, or if you have other skills or expertise, you may be interested in joining the many people who enjoy volunteering at Fall River Historical Society.

The Greater Worcester Land Trust established a Volunteer Conservation Corps in 2001. Volunteers have blazed trails, GPSed resources, constructed signage, maintained habitat projects, improved public amenities, made record of the uses and flora and fauna of the Trust’s conservation lands — even hewn logs for us.

Very nearly all of the trails, signage, habitat, monitoring, erosion control and cleanup work on GWLT properties is done by volunteers.

Your volunteer role may involve interaction with residents or an endeavor that is more task oriented.

Distribute food on Saturday at Old South Union Church in Weymouth, collect donations at local drop-off sites, run a cat and/or dog food drive, bag food for distribution.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with New England Public Media – we look forward to having you as part of our team. Email Susan Lofthouse, [email protected], and she’ll add you to the volunteer mailing list so you’ll be sure to know about any upcoming opportunities.

We are taking clients’ food orders over the phone, pre-packing those orders, and distributing them in a drive-up pantry. We need volunteers to pack and distribute those orders.
