This volunteer position bridges the gap between Miller-Carr Human Services (MCHS) and the community. Nurturing respectful relationships with community agencies, leaders, family and other community stakeholders. Position require local travel and some evening/weekend work. Experience in the initiation, implementation and coordination of work in the community is required.

Come help us tell the stories of our Bigs and Littles. Duties will include the production of stories to be distributed in marketing materials, on our website, and distributed to the media in the form of press releases. The time commitment would be 3-5 hours per week.

We have several fun and exciting ways to volunteer such as sorting and organizing donations, selling sporting event concessions, and assisting with holiday/seasonal events.

BBBS is looking for someone to help answer phones, file, organize supplies, create fliers, prepare mailings, and many other things. This position requires 4 hours per week, consistently at least one day a week, Monday through Friday.

Volunteer shifts begin at Bryant Community Center at 10 AM where you will get food and then deliver food to 2-5 families in Washtenaw County. The total shift lasts about 2 hours.

Assist with therapeutic riding and hippotherapy sessions (horse handlers & sidewalkers). Assist with program development, clerical work, special events & fundraisers. Assist with animal care (e.g. feeding, grooming, mucking). Previous horse experience welcomed but not required.
