ICPJ volunteers support a range of program and office activities, from bookkeeping to marketing and everything in between.

Work with a partner to meet with wish kids and their families to help determine their wishes, and then work with our staff to make those wishes a reality. Wish-granting volunteers must be 21 years of age, attend a wish-granting training and be able to commit to at least one year of volunteering.

Help facilitate wish experiences for non-English-speaking families. Translators attend wish visits and phone calls, but they are not directly involved in planning wishes. They may also assist with the translation of documents and other materials as needed.

Assist with various projects at our chapter offices in Brighton and Grand Rapids, including phone calls, mailings, research and data entry. This opportunity is only available during business hours Monday–Friday.

Develop a friendship with a person JARC serves. You can go out (lunch, shopping, movies, etc.). Possibilities are endless.

Volunteers offer a warm smile as they provide hospitality and push a cart full of snacks, coffee and other beverages throughout our facility. They enjoy interacting with patients and caregivers as they await their appointments and receive treatment.

Life Remodeled will offer after school tutoring and homework assistance to Durfee Elementary-Middle School students grades 2nd-8th. Volunteers will work with 1 to 2 students with their homework, educational activities, and I-ready learning platform. Occurs Mondays & Wednesdays 2pm-5pm. We offer opportunities such as in office work, where volunteers get the chance to see behind the curtain. Daily tasks include cleaning, office assistance, office maintenance, and manning the front desk.

We welcome adult volunteers to help care for our resident wildlife, including our birds of prey and other live animals in the Critter House.
