Assist the S.A.F.E. House by representing or assisting with the agency at domestic violence awareness events or fundraising events at various community venues, helping with special events and fundraisers, and assisting in data entry and special projects.

Opportunities to help in the office include assisting with the sorting and distribution of in-kind donations, which includes supplying clothing to shelter residents and their children, responding to phone inquires or walk-in visitors; collecting and processing in-kind donations; assisting with general administrative functions, and troubleshooting problems and helping develop automated approaches to existing systems.
Book preparation events are held regularly each week. Preparing 52,000 books per month is a task that can only be accomplished with the help of dedicated volunteers. Volunteers are also needed to help scan books.
Protection Order Assistants, located in the Family Violence Intervention Program at Family Court, help victims of domestic violence complete and file Protection Order applications. They provide information about the application process, safety planning and community resources.
Please help us provide clothing, food and other supplies for students: Join us for one hour, two hours or more to pack school orders and sort and fold clothing for Betty’s clothing showroom. Anytime between 9 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday.
Each week day, 148 healthy sack lunches are prepared to be delivered to nearby hospitals and medical facilities. We are in need of lunch delivery drivers who would drive RMHC’s refrigerated van to these facilities and delivery the lunches to children’s bedsides and to nurses to distribute.
Groups prepare and pack healthy sack lunches that will be taken to local hospitals and medical facilities (by others). You can also help through our lunch bag & caring card decorating program if you want to brighten someone’s day! Or you can also contribute to the Lunch Wish List by collecting and donating items.
Family Room hosts will provide a welcoming face to families using the room. Duties will include checking families in, giving tours of the room, performing simple administrative tasks, light housekeeping and keeping the kitchenette stocked. The Ronald McDonald Family Room® is open 9:00am-9:00pm, with three, 4 hour shifts per day.
