The SPCA of Northern Nevada offers a low-cost vaccine and microchip clinic right here at the SPCA’s Adoption Center. We are looking for vet program students to help assist with our clinic.

You and your certified therapy pet will help comfort and bring joy to our patients.
Assist at our front desk. Greet patients and answer any questions that they may have.
A limited number of Junior Volunteer opportunities are available for students age 16-18 to learn more about careers in the healthcare environment.
Can help in the areas of: Information desk, Administration, Registration Dept, Infusion Center, Patient & Public Relations, CVMC Clinics, Breast Cancer Resource Center, Dietary Dept, Lab/Medical Imaging Dept, Physical Therapy, or Special Events
Horse Handlers guide horses while clients ride by leading or long-lining. A Horse Handler grooms, tacks and handles the horse during the therapy session or adaptive riding lesson.
Equine Crew volunteers may help with turning-out horses, preparing horse lunches, feeding, manure pick-up, etc. Horse experience required.
Side Walkers walk alongside participants as they ride. The purpose of a Side Walker is to help keep the rider safe and assist their participation.
The Junior Coach program is a great way to earn required community service hours for school while having fun and helping younger participants develop their golf and life skills. Students 14 years and older are encouraged to participate in the Junior Coach program. Junior Coaches can also be participants in The First Tee programs.
