The ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter connects people living with ALS and their families to volunteers to provide services. We also host and participate in numerous fundraising, awareness, and information-based opportunities throughout Massachusetts. These activities create a multitude of tasks where volunteers can easily assist, including administrative work and mailings, helping at various events, and more.

Reviews residential and commercial subdivisions, secondary home applications, special permit requests, and a number of other submissions. The Planning Board also reviews and provides recommendations on zoning changes submitted for Town Meeting approval.

Reviews applications as required by the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and the Nantucket Wetlands Bylaw. All development and proposed activities within 100 feet of a wetland must be reviewed and approved by the Commission.

Job Description/Purpose: To assist Meowza staff in day to day store operations, including cleaning cat cages, adoptions and assisting customers.

Care for animals in your home that need a little extra care before they can go up for adoption. Typically, animals requiring foster care are too young, inured or sick to go up for adoption. Foster parents provide the much needed time and attention these special needs animals require.

To exercise and socialize rabbits in the shelter, by taking them individually into bonding rooms or outside in the designated area for playtime on the Humane Society of Greater Dayton property.
