This program offers an opportunity for mentors from the community to connect with youth to build a trusting relationship and work towards goals identified by the youth. The program is designed to encourage a meaningful, supportive connection, and requires a 3 to 6 month commitment.

Engage with street-based youth out in the community alongside one of our Outreach and Engagement Case Managers, providing access to survival resources and SPY’s onsite programs. Volunteer Opportunities on Mondays 2-4 pm, Thursdays and Fridays 11 am – 12:30 pm.

Meet 1-on-1 weekly for an hour with the same participant and horse for an entire school year. Horse SenseAbility provides special training, activities and ongoing support to mentors. Stable Moments mentors must be at least 21 years old. Experience with horses is not required.

Assist the marketing department with brochure and poster distribution to local area businesses. They also help with community events year-round (based on availability).

City Year Boston offers custom opportunities for corporate groups to sponsor for their employees or members. We align these opportunities with city guidelines on public health and also offer virtual and remote options.
