Weekend volunteer to engage friends in small groups such as, but not limited to, manicures, adult coloring, puzzles, one-on-one visits, sing-a-longs, word games, balloon toss, easy art groups, reading groups, devotions, bingo etc. What is done depends on the volunteer’s interest and comfort level.
We are looking for volunteers like you that can ensure youth are prepared to succeed in school and do not fall victim to the summer academic slide and fall further behind. We will be offering academic programming where you can work with 1-2 youth support them in building their skills in reading and math.
BOSS works with teenage boys to prepare them for life after high school. Through group discussions, hands-on activities, college tours, company tours and guest speakers, our focus is ensuring these teens have the mindset and tools to excel as a young man. You can volunteers as a: Life, Coach, College/Career Coach, Workshop Presenter, or Mentor.
The Future Leaders Program works with students grades 1st – 6th providing educational workshops focused on emotional empowerment, academic achievement and college/career exploration. Daily programs consist of: Lifeskills workshops, Tutoring, Fieldtrips, or Mentoring.
Two school grades (example: 4th & 5th graders, 9th & 10th graders) will receive an interactive workshop on school centered topics such as: “How to Improve School Culture”, “Respecting Authority”, “How NOT to Bully”
Volunteers are needed to greet and assist customers, help load and unload merchandise, and clean, inspect, and put away donations.
