An On Belay program isn’t the only fun place to volunteer. We could always use a helping hand to assist us with all the behind the scenes tasks it takes to make On Belay the amazing organization it is.
We need people who are on fire for On Belay and what it can do in the lives of children and want everyone to know. A poster here, a post card there, and informative conversations everywhere.
During a program there is a lot of “behind the scenes” things going on. The Things are being torn down, set-up, and managed. Program Assistant works directly alongside the Program Director to make sure all those things happen.
During our rock gym programs we utilize Program Facilitators to create the adventure-based framework that is vital for reaching our goals. You will take the lead role in creating supportive environments, establishing the framework of growth, and fostering relationships within a group. One of the amazing things about On Belay is that all our programs are free. We accomplish this through the generous giving of others. It takes outreach, grant writing, events, newsletters, thank you cards, and so much more. If you have a knack for fundraising and expressing gratitude then this is the opportunity for you.
This opportunity only takes place for the programs during the months of May through August. You will play a vital part in creating positive energy, supporting a child, establishing joy, and encouraging youth to overcome challenges. You can volunteer at one or all the programs.
Often part of the Dog and Cat care procedure. This involves doing Laundry in the Adoption Center, stocking the room as needed, and keeping the laundry room clean.
Supervises the activity within the Cat Pavilion during business hours. This is a high public contact position that requires comfort interacting with people as well as requiring animal handling skills. Requires several hours as cat care volunteer, and some additional training.
Help us get up-to-date information about NHSPCA news and events to the public by distributing flyers, posters and newsletters to local veterinarians and businesses in the community.
