RefugeeConnect is only greater than the sum of its parts through our extensive partnerships with local businesses and nonprofit, faith-based, and civic organizations. We offer both basic and advanced training on welcoming refugees, engaging volunteer opportunities, long-term mentorship programs, and many other avenues for community involvement.
Assist with our tutoring program.
Help run the club in your particular school.
Help with business mentorship for our existing co-ops and co-op entrepreneurs, fundraising support and mentorship (ie. how to develop major donor programs, events, annual giving campaigns, grant writing), database maintenance, outreach support to specific communities and constituency groups and more!
Help prepare students to develop a clear career goal as well as problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, time management, and work-related skills.
help our youth determine the route they would like to go when it comes to deciding on which business industry they would like to explore.
Throughout the year HART plans and schedules adoption and fundraising events such as a golf tournament and dinner that includes raffle baskets, silent and live auction items. Volunteers help to plan and run these events.
Help with feeding, cleaning, care-taking of the animals. Volunteers must be able to work independently after training, must be dependable/reliable, and have a high level of engagement with our animals.
Become a trained volunteer and lead classes and support groups.
Help ensure that youth gain the skills and knowledge to explore college, entrepreneurship, and career exploration. We provide opportunities for youth who may go unmatched with other mentor organizations.
