Anyone can be an ambassador for BCWA by promoting our conservation efforts and programs to schools, businesses and the community. We will provide any literature you need. Volunteering at events and fairs such as the Midwest Native Plant Conference is another way to engage the community.

MooseWood Nature Center is looking for retired educators or volunteers with an interest in sharing their appreciation of the natural world with children. Volunteers would be working with large groups of youth typically ranging in age from 6-12 years. Volunteers are needed to help with a variety of planned activities and events. Some volunteers assist with an event or two while others are more active and volunteer throughout the year. Any amount of time you are able to donate is always appreciated.

Write nature, outdoor interest, or educational articles for the MooseWood News newsletter.

Help MooseWood Nature Center spread the word about upcoming programs and events by creating and/or posting posters or fliers throughout the community and on the Northern Michigan University campus.

Host the nature center during regular business hours, Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 12-4 pm. Greeter will feed animals and perform animal habitat maintenance as needed. Training is provided.
