Without money, no organization can survive. Our Fundraising Committee is active in creating our event schedule, seeking out grants, and coming up with creative ways to bring the funds necessary to make the Music House Museum a success.

Part of the charm of our location is the beautiful gardens surrounding the Museum. These are maintained by our volunteers. Anyone with a passion for gardening is welcome to join in.

Delivery shifts are available Monday through Friday. Volunteers make no contact deliveries to clients in need of food or diapers. This is especially important for our client families who have tested Covid + or are in quarantine or are at high risk. Delivery volunteers are given 5-7 deliveries for the Greater Lawrence area. Morning and afternoon shifts available Monday through Friday. 2-3 volunteers work at a time, wearing masks and gloves. Youth and family shifts are also available. Volunteers pack bags at our Warehouse space.

With three ministry buildings and two rental homes on 15 acres, there’s always work to be done for our maintenance and facilities volunteers! Whether it’s providing snow removal, lawn care, cleaning or other small maintenance tasks, these volunteers keep us going in every season.

To keep our pantry running smoothly, these volunteers assist with guest intake, pick up food donations from community organizations, pack food, shop for food and coordinate our coat drive. Volunteers on this team also provide appliance and furniture pick up and delivery.

People Helping People runs two fundraising events each year that require a team of gifted volunteers to plan and successfully run. This team also serves through social media and annual fund development.

Our events require the help of many dedicated volunteers. We have volunteer opportunities during events as well as positions available on planning committees that work in the months prior to the event.
