This is a great opportunity for individuals (or families), groups, or organizations. Visit a JARC home once a month on a Sunday afternoon (or four times a year) to play games or bake cookies; or plan activities four times a year (e.g. spring cleanup, BBQ, fall cleanup, or an arts and crafts activity).
Help keep our homes looking beautiful in the spring and fall by weeding front and backyards, planting/pruning glowers and shrubs, mulching, raking leaves in the fall, and more!
Develop a friendship with a person JARC serves. You can go out (lunch, shopping, movies, etc.). Possibilities are endless.
Volunteers offer a warm smile as they provide hospitality and push a cart full of snacks, coffee and other beverages throughout our facility. They enjoy interacting with patients and caregivers as they await their appointments and receive treatment.
Foster homes are always needed to take care of the cats and kittens until they can find permanent homes.
Our security/greeter volunteers monitor parking areas and greet people as they walk through our doors, offering a warm cup of coffee, a personal ‘hello’ and directions to appropriate areas. They represent the positive, caring atmosphere of the Center.
Young professionals whose ‘9-5’ jobs make it challenging to volunteer during the workday. Members gain leadership skills and plan/promote annual signature Y.E.S! event.
Help with our annual fundraiser, Stepping Out in Style, or other smaller events to raise money for our programming.
Collect and sort donations dropped off at our office.
We would love to see our community rally behind these foster families and relieve the stress of shopping and cooking dinner daily so that they can spend time at medical and therapy appointments and finish homework with multiple children. The goal is to make healthy, homemade, store bought or restaurant prepared meals to show love…
