Volunteers are needed to help launder linens on an as-needed basis. These linens consist of bedding donations that we receive as well as the linens that we need to clean for families who are joining our Housing Program. Families Forward will drop off and pick up loads of laundry to volunteers’ homes in our service…

Drivers are needed to pick-up food donations from food banks, local restaurants, and grocery stores. These fresh food donations are a healthy addition to the standard nonperishable food items. Pick ups typically take place in the morning, but scheduling varies Monday through Thursday.

Exhibits Committee volunteers are grandparents, parents and community members who create and build custom exhibits unique to KidZone Museum. The hand crafted exhibits are filled with play that helps a child’s social, physical, cognitive and creative development.

Committee members are expected to attend monthly meetings and take on tasks outside of meetings. Committee members can expect to commit a minimum of 18-24 hours over the course of 6-12 months depending on the committee. Committees include: Economic Vitality Committee, Promotions & Marketing Committee, Community Design Committee, and the Events Committee.

We need someone who loves to garden and create learning areas in our garden for children such as composting, a bee and butterfly flower bed and all sort of fun learning opportunities. We need someone (or two folks) all summer long and you can create your own schedule.

The Board of Directors of the KidZone Museum is also a committed group of volunteers. Representatives of this group are parents, attorneys, child development specialists and nonprofit professionals.
