Volunteers can assist with shopping or allow family caregivers the opportunity to take care of necessary errands, exercise, or simply have some time alone.
Walking dogs, cuddling with cats, and tidying up cages are all part of the adopt-a-pet experience. In addition to assisting with the animals at the events, we also need help with set-up and break-down cages and tables before and after adoption events.
WAG fundraising includes community outreach events, such as promoting our services to the animals of the community by having an information booth at the Wyandotte Street Art Fair and many other street fairs. We have monthly volunteer opportunities available to let your passion shine!
Volunteers help lead tours, present nature education programs on-site or off-site with students, help with administration, office, and computer projects, write grants for additional financial support, learn land restoration techniques, or maintain trails, gardens, bridges, and bird feeders.
