Students from Loyola High School & Bishop Conaty-Our Lady of Loretto High School work with our students on the campus of St Thomas the Apostle School, Tuesday & Thursday from 3pm-5pm. Our volunteers provide valuable support for our students, grades K-3, as they participate in recreational activities, homework tutoring and other enrichment and educational activities.

As part of a team, you work with the teaching artist and other volunteers to assist children with their visual arts projects. Students in Secrets of the Heart learn about hats and headdresses from around the world and then decorate their headdresses with things for which they’re thankful.

If you are interested in volunteering seasonally or on a case-by-case basis by doing administrative work, teaching classes, facilitating activities, participating in fundraising efforts, or providing childcare, please contact us.

You attend Secrets of the Heart introductory workshop for teachers and administrators. Assist Program Manager with organizing activities including sign-in and help interact with teachers, distribute materials and set up the presentations of the day whether it is our Secrets of the Heart presentation, Theatre Arts or our One World Drum Circle for teachers.

Participate in setting up and breaking down the stage set and props and setting up elements of the onstage Friendship Tree. Assist our team in putting on a great show.
