The Italianate formal gardens bloom from early spring through the fall with a variety of plants and flowers.
Assist with activities or outings (Daily, Weekly, Biweekly or Monthly) **CPR/First Aid and Recipient Rights Training Required** Activity Examples: Bingo, Crafts, Social Hour, Member Lunches, Birthday Parties, Baking, Cooking, Walking, etc. Outing Examples: John Ball Zoo, Frederik Meijer Garden, Bowling, Nature Center, Grocery Outing, Festivals, Concerts, Whitecaps Baseball Games, etc.
We need individuals who are interested in volunteering a few hours per week to make copies of our curriculum.
Strengthening the community through a limited amount of housing rehab and rental, blight removal.
Serve as a member of the volunteer staff providing 24-hour care to terminally ill guests. Requirements: Commitment to working as a group to provide loving comfort care to guest. Completion of initial orientation and participation in ongoing caregiver training. Participation in quarterly staff meetings. Able to embrace the mission, care, and service of our guests.
Help run our peer support program that helps trans people all over the USA find the resources they need!
Volunteers help advocate for children by staying with each case until it is closed and the child is in a safe, permanent home.
Community members are invited to join us as we prepare daily meals for shelter and soup kitchen guests.
