Our needs include help with maintaining the grounds around our building at 1517 Bayliss St. Want some time in the fresh air? Maybe you’d enjoy helping in the Community Garden or maintaining the flower beds around the building. We are also looking for help with the grounds at the John Pratt Mosaic House.
Whether register guests at a gala, passing out t-shirts or set up silent auction items, you will meet great people and help our mission.
From office support to event planning, your talents can make a huge difference.
Volunteers greet our guests, but that’s not all. They also escort patients and caregivers to their destinations; staff our lending library; assist with administrative tasks, clinic duties and physical therapy appointments; present outreach programs in the community; and conduct tours of our legendary building. Some have even participated in research studies.

Senior Companion Volunteers serve as advocates, supporters and companions to older adults who are frail and isolated. They connect their clients to the community. Volunteers serve 15+ hours/week assisting isolated and frail seniors. The weekly SC visit assists the seniors to live independently longer in their own home. To staff the information booth/table during requested shifts and provide accurate information about Child and Family Services. Volunteers will pass out agency information/parent packets and engage participants to utilize the information being provided (example: Health and Safety Fairs, Agency Fairs, and City/Community Events etc.).
Volunteer will assist with coordinating activities during the month of April – Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Positions begin in January and end in May. Events/activities include: Awareness Kick-off Day, Crime Victims Awareness Week, Denim Day Partners.
