There are many ways to volunteer, and we are happy to talk with you about how you can help! We welcome volunteers regularly as there are a variety of tasks at the farm involving many different skill sets.
Mentor a child Foster or adopt a child!
Work with families to listen, to assess their assets and needs, to pray with them and to coordinate help using our available network of resources.
Provide mentoring of life and professional skills along with a small team to selected families.
Provide childcare during “Getting Ahead and out of Poverty” classes.
Kids between the ages of 8-12 can participate in cat and dog kennel activities or Paw Partners with their parent or guardian. To make and sell crafts at local bazaars and festivals and other fundraising activities, with proceeds to benefit SICSA Pet Adoption Center.
To work with our office staff (specifically the Community Engagement team) to assist with the planning and organization of special events, fundraising initiatives, or various other office projects.
To represent SICSA by taking adoptable animals into the community to attract potential adopters, as well as educate members of the general public about SICSA’s animal welfare programs.
Help plan a fundraising event. Volunteer on one of our event committees. Donate a prize for one of our raffles or silent auctions. Help us with office work, such as mailing newsletters. Ask your congregation to provide shelter space for one week.
