TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) volunteers help us with the most important program we have. TNR volunteers assist with trapping, transport and returning cats back to their homes. TNR volunteers are required to assist at least 3 times per month for a minimum of 6 months.
Every event, we have a variety of volunteer opportunities available. Here’s a peek at what we will need help with: Wayfinding/Downtown Navigation – helping visitors figure out where they’re going Web-app Pros – teaching visitors our new prize awarding format Production Helpers – maintaining and distributing ArtPrize materials General Support – filling in the gaps
Volunteering for duty in the Eagle Harbor Lighthouse complex, the Gay School Museum, the Central Mine Visitors Center, and/or the Eagle River Museum to greet visitors and assist in their tour of the site or museum.
Assisting with fund-raising and grant sourcing and grant application writing.
Writing articles for our newsletter, The Superior Signal, or serving as a reporter or photographer for that publication or our web site.
We need people to help us distribute food on Monday mornings. Help is needed with registration, parking lot, bagging food, and pushing carts. Volunteers arrive as early as 8:30am and we are usually done by noon. Call us at 586-754-2400 or visit our Facebook page for more information.
